The TOP-100 Enterprises list is compiled annually by the Government of Mongolia in collaboration with the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI). This ranking celebrates businesses that demonstrate outstanding performance in areas such as revenue growth, operational excellence, market influence, job creation, and overall impact on the national economy.

MSM Group’s inclusion in this year’s list reflects its strong performance across a diverse portfolio of industries, from automotive and industrial equipment to consumer goods, services, and beyond. It also affirms the company’s commitment to sustainable growth, continuous innovation, and delivering exceptional value to its customers, partners, and the communities it serves.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is reinforcing its commitment to Mongolia’s private sector by providing a loan of up to MNT 26.2 billion (approximately €7 million) to MSM Group, one of the country’s leading diversified businesses. The financing will support the company’s expansion and working capital needs, with a specific focus on promoting growth in non-extractive industries, a key priority for the EBRD in Mongolia.

MSM Group operates across several key sectors, including the production and sale of industrial chemicals, distribution and maintenance of vehicles and industrial equipment, and import and distribution of beverages. The new EBRD loan will be used to construct a modern storage facility, a workshop, and an automotive showroom, while also strengthening the company’s working capital base.

With vehicle imports into Mongolia surging by 67% in 2024, MSM Group’s expansion will enable the company to meet the growing demand more efficiently and provide faster, higher-quality service to its customers. This move not only aligns with the country’s increasing consumer and industrial needs but also reflects a broader economic diversification effort, reinforcing focus on the non-extractive sectors.

MSM has been a client of the EBRD since 2008, and this latest investment marks a continued partnership aimed at building a more resilient, diversified economy. To date, the EBRD has invested nearly €2.77 billion in Mongolia through 158 projects, with about 90% of that funding directed towards private-sector development.

By supporting companies like MSM Group, the EBRD is helping to stimulate sustainable growth, encourage innovation, and reduce Mongolia’s economic reliance on extractive industries, paving the way for a more balanced and inclusive economic future.

Khanbogd Soum is a strategically significant and rapidly developing soum in the Umnugobi region. Although it is located 295 km from the provincial center and 779 km from Ulaanbaatar, it benefits from being fully connected by paved roads. To the south, it borders China via the Gashuunsukhait port. It is neighbored by Bayan-Ovoo Soum to the west, Khatanbulag and Mandakh soums of Dornogovi Province to the east, and Manlai Soum to the northeast. The territory of Khanbogd Soum includes the Oyu Tolgoi deposit, and lies near several major mining projects such as the Tsagaan Suvarga gold and copper deposit to the northeast, the Kharmagtai deposit to the east, and the Tavan Tolgoi mine of Tsogttsetsii soum to the north. This places Khanbogd at the center of Mongolia’s major mining investments making it a key contributor to the national budget.

As part of its efforts to expand operations in rural areas and get closer to its customers, MSM Group successfully held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Service, Warehouse, and Showroom Center in Khanbogd soum, Umnugobi province.

The event was attended by executives of MSM Group LLC, representatives from the local and provincial government of Khanbogd soum, officials from Oyu Tolgoi LLC, and the management and staff of “Gobi Nar Construction” LLC, the project’s main contractor. During the ceremony, guests shared their insights on the future of the center and the positive impact it is expected to have on the local community.

This project not only aims to bring MSM Group’s world-class services and officially licensed products directly and efficiently to residents and customers in Khanbogd and the surrounding region, but it also represents a significant contribution to local development. The new center is expected to create new jobs, laying the foundation for training and hiring local engineers, technicians, and service personnel. In addition, it will help boost business activity and trade, delivering long-term economic benefits to the region.

The project includes the construction of a comprehensive facility comprising:

• Industrial equipment service center and automotive service center
• Automotive showroom
• Hand and power tools store
• Beverage products store
• Warehouses for machinery and automotive spare parts, as well as additional building materials

A key feature of this development is the incorporation of environmentally friendly and sustainable design solutions. The complex will be powered by solar energy, and a greywater recycling system will be implemented to reduce environmental impact. This is implementation of concrete steps toward green growth and sustainable development.

For MSM Group, this new center is a major investment aimed at setting a new standard in delivering modern, high-quality, and accessible services to customers and partners in local economy and the region.

The MSM Mongolia Football Club, a dedicated group of employee volunteers from MSM Group, has achieved international recognition after securing a silver medal at the World Masters Games 2025, held in Taipei, Taiwan. This remarkable accomplishment stands as a testament to the team’s commitment, and athletic excellence, as well as the company’s strong support for employee-led initiatives.

The MSM Mongolia Football Club is made of passionate MSM Group employees who volunteer their time and energy to represent their company and country on the football field. Their participation in the global sporting event was made possible through MSM Group’s sponsorship, which aligns with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, particularly in the area of supporting employee volunteerism and well-being.

The World Masters Games, a prestigious international multi-sport event held every four years, brings together thousands of amateur athletes from around the world. Competing against seasoned teams from different continents, the MSM Mongolia Football Club demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the tournament.

This achievement highlights MSM Group’s ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive corporate culture where employees are encouraged to lead initiatives beyond their day-to-day work. The success of the MSM Mongolia Football Club at the World Masters Games 2025 is more than just a sporting milestone – it is a celebration of teamwork, and the powerful results of aligning business with purpose.

MSM Group employees made a powerful debut in the global charity run “Wings for Life World Run”, an international race organized annually by Red Bull, with an impressive team of 109 participants at the starting line. The Wings for Life World Run raises funds for spinal cord injury research, with 100% of entry fees and donations going directly to the Wings for Life foundation.

Together, MSM runners covered a total of 523.4 km, placing 367th out of 9,997 teams worldwide—an outstanding Top 5% finish. We also ranked #140 globally in the number of participants using the official app, which is a proud achievement for our team.

Through our collective effort, we raised a total of €1,073 in donations. It was a true highlight to run alongside teammates from Sweden, Germany, Italy, Singapore, and Ukraine—showcasing our strong international spirit.

On a global scale, the “Wings for Life World Run” set a new record with 310,719 participants. Each runner covered an average of 12.4 km, totaling 3.85 million kilometers run—equivalent to circling the Earth 64 times! The event raised approximately USD 9.7 million, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to spinal cord injury research.

Supporting long-term projects that contribute meaningfully to the well-being of society, children’s rights, and educational development is a core goal of our social responsibility mission.

MSM Group has been supporting and collaborating long-term with the Shambala2056 Project since 2021. The project aims to create a greener environment by planting trees in areas with high desertification rate in Gobi region. Within the scope of the project, forests are being cultivated in Erdene soum of Dornogovi province — an area affected by soil degradation and desertification. MSM Group has sponsored the planting and maintenance of 286 trees in the forest.

As a result of these planted trees, a total of 266.96 tons of carbon dioxide was processed and absorbed in 2024, generating 568.01 tons of biomass, which contributes to improving the soil structure of the region.

Continuing to implement our social responsibility goals, we are committed to supporting projects that make a tangible, long-term contribution to social well-being and environmental development.

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, MSM Group has donated essential hand tools and equipment to the Design and Technology class of School No. 63 in Ulaanbaatar.

School No. 63 provides secondary education and specialized services such as rehabilitation, therapy, and development programs for students with special needs. The school’s Design and Technology class plays a vital role in nurturing students’ engineering and technical thinking, offering them access to technological education and vocational training. MSM Group has provided the necessary tools and equipment to enhance student participation, accessibility, and productivity in these lessons.
